Ear Coning

also known as Ear Candling
Only available at my main Kitchener location.

In June 2008, I attended a workshop through Annie's Apitherapy in Carlisle, that taught me how to perform ear-cone candling.

This modality is intended to remove excess ear wax and toxins by placing a hollow candle in a person’s ear and lighting it. The practitioner holds the candle. This method creates a vacuum within the hollow of the candle.

This modality can also improve sinus cavities, and remove itching sensation. What the suction extracts is collected in the bottom of the candle, which, once opened, you can see how much has been drawn out from each ear.

I decided to learn how to do this myself after two treatments. I realized taking a workshop would definitely pay for itself and it's a modality i use often during allergy season.

I have a client's questionnaire/waiver for clients to fill out with each session.  Once client is comfortable laying on their side, with client's help, a candle's tip is gently inserted in one ear, and the session begins.

This technique is not meant for anyone with any level of inner ear damage (especially perforated ear drums), or ear tubes.  If you've had recent mouth, teeth, or ear surgery, please refrain from ear candling until after your recovery timeframe.  Since this technique clears out excess wax, it's also recommended to avoid this technique if you are planning a plain trip within a few days.

For the first 24 hours after ear candling is performed, it is recommended that you avoid showers or any situation that may get your inner eat wet. It is also recommended that you cover your ears if you intend to be outside on a windy day.

Investment is $30.00 which includes usage of two candles.  There is a cost for each candle if more than two are needed.

Timeframe is under an hour.  Approximately 20 minutes per candle, completing a form, and any questions/answers that may arise.
